CrossFit Kids

On December 8th, we will be kicking off our first ever CrossFit Kids Class! This Winter Session will be a super fun and challenging six week program for kids ages 8-13. Class will meet on Sundays at 10am. This program is for all ability levels and we encourage all kids within the age range to participate. No matter if your child’s goal is to make the softball team, or simply improve coordination and body awareness- they will get an incredible workout while developing both discipline and learning the importance of working hard. We will be teaching:

  • The impact of living an active lifestyle and showing our students that it’s fun!
  • Confidence and positive self talk
  • Teamwork
  • Embracing and overcoming challenges
  • Proper movement fundamentals
  • Body awareness and coordination
  • Mental toughness
  • Having fun while working hard!

Our program is a great supplement to any sport as kids will be learning the basics of CrossFit, Weightlifting technique and general strength and conditioning that will benefit them as they learn and grow as athletes and hard working people! Each class will include a warm-up, a workout with varied levels of difficulty, and a fun game.

Meet our Kids Class Head Coach, Adam Klingenberger:

Adam has been a part of Dog House for the past five years and early on displayed a passion for coaching youth athletes. He grew up playing every sport under the sun and believes in the importance of exposing young athletes to all elements of fitness. He has been on staff as an Assistant Weightlifting Coach and is excited to take the lead as our Kids Class Head Coach.
